If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Mexico you can check out La Caida. La Caida gets very little rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is March. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Agua de los Torres. The sight of Black Mesa from La Caida is picturesque, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice. There's so much to do here at La Caida

| | that you need to camp here for a while, Kiva RV Park & Horse Motel is a delightful place for that; after a long day outdoors Socorro Super 8 Motel is a nice location to spend a night or two. For the duration of the long summer days, highs generally are in the 90's at La Caida. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; night lows at La Caida throughout the winter frequently sink into the 10's. | |
