  Lots of folks from Vallecitos come to Kiowa Lake, and a tour to Carson National Forest when you're here is never a bad idea. A great location near Kiowa Lake is Cleveland Gulch, and a short trip to McIntyre Spring is always worthwhile.
This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. At Kiowa Lake you can see Kiowa Mountain; Hopewell Lake Campground
    is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Rinker Lake is in the neighborhood, and why not camp at El Ritito Campground if you're here at Kiowa Lake.
