This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Juniper Water Well that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Gallinas Campground is a great place for that, and if you came to camp Iron Creek Campground is a tremendous site to do that. The Black Range scenery is always beautiful. Juniper Water Well is pretty dehydrated typically; August is when you get the most rain here while April is the month with the       least amount of precipitation. Juniper Water Well is not the only spot close by, Dwyer Reservoir is a close by lake, and close by you discover the Old Government Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Black Range. If the weather is wonderful, you get a splendid panorama of Noonday Peak from Juniper Water Well, and a fine nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Deming, Nm. At Juniper Water Well throughout the long summer days                  highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's.
