    Go to Lake Johnson if you want to go to a nice lake. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is plentiful here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Stewart Lake. There's so much to do here at Lake Johnson that you need to camp here for a while, Cowles Campground is a wonderful place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Bishop's Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest, and you can never  
   get enough of the perfect skiing at Ski Santa Fe. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Take a hike on the Agua Sarca Trail; a journey to Santa Fe National Historic Trail is worthwhile.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Winsor Trail, and at Lake Johnson you always meet someone from Santa Fe. All through the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 90's at Lake
 
               Johnson, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Johnson. Lake Johnson is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
It is very arid here at Lake Johnson generally; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. All the outdoors fun things next to Lake Johnson will keep you coming back over and over. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rio Capulin Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Santa Cruz. Not far from Lake Johnson, you'll discover Lake Katherine which is a lovely lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Johnson has to offer, you can camp at Panchuela Campground.
Dry warm beds await you at Encantado An Auberge Resort, and Redonda peak can be spotted from Lake Johnson.
