  This lake is so wonderful.
So many enjoyable things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too nice to be true. John Mills Lake Dam is worth stopping at if you're here, and if you came for an overnight stay LaJara Lake - Jicarilla Apache is a fine place to camp. Buzzard Park Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and John Mills Lake is near El Vado Lake State Park which is a scenic place. This lake is one of the great places here in the
    San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
High temperatures at John Mills Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's.
