Summer at Iron Creek Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Iron Creek Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is located in the wonderful San Francisco Mountains. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. A pleasant spot       for whitewater paddling close to Iron Creek Lake is San Francisco River; don't leave Iron Creek Lake without first paying a visit to Sheep Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the McKenzie Trail, and camping at Iron Creek Lake is magnificent fun, Ben Lilly Campground is a magnificent local campground. At Iron Creek Lake you don’t see much precipitation; all through August this area sees the most rain, and April meanwhile is the                  driest month. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the San Francisco Mountains. There are delightful locations to look at along the Middle Fork Trail; the peak of Iron Creek Mesa can be made out from Iron Creek Lake. Don't leave Iron Creek Lake without first going for a hike along the Iron Creek Mesa Trail, and why not camp at Willow Creek Campground since you're here at Iron Creek Lake. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the San Francisco Mountains.
