New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Indian Lake is one of them. At Indian Lake you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Any time is a brilliant time at Indian Lake if you love the outdoors. Indian Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Agua Piedra Campground is a wonderful local campground, and nearby Agua Sarca Canyon is a wonderful site to go.
But wait, there's

more cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There is a great hiking trail close to Indian Lake called the Osha Trail, and Indian Lake is not the only spot nearby, La Cueva Lake is a nearby lake. For the period of the summertime here at Indian Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at
Indian Lake. You could also go to Serpent Lake since you're here at Indian Lake; it's nearby, and the panorama of pretty The Knob is tremendous.
Having a wonderful time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is simple. On a good day at Indian Lake you can take a hike along the Comales Trail, and everybody close by loves skiing at Taos. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious nearby hotel is Taos Super 8 Motel, and camping at Duran Canyon Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. Knob Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at; at Indian Lake you always meet someone from Taos.
If the weather is fine here at Indian Lake, you can go for a hike along the West Fork Angostura Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Pueblo de Taos. This place is so good, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do near Indian Lake. If you need a place to stay Taos - Days Inn is a great choice, and Sipapu Ski is a magnificent local ski area.
