Here at Hugh Lake there are plenty of people from Farmington, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Farmington(Bloomfield), Nm is a great location to spend a night or two. Brentwood Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hugh Lake has to offer, you can camp at River Grove RV Park. Hugh Lake is a glorious site to camp, Mom and Pop RV       Park is a glorious site, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Animas River. Hugh Lake is generally a quite dried up place; through the month of October you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 90's at Hugh Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
