Hugh Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. There are other spots here than Hugh Lake, for example Jeters Lake; if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn Farmington is a good choice. Throughout the summertime highs here at Hugh Lake reach the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hugh Lake sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come
at the right time of year, Animas River offers some tremendous whitewater, and Mom and Pop RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby.
Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Farmington(Bloomfield), Nm, and lakes are such calm places, why not go to City Reservoir. Stay the night at River Grove RV Park, and there are plenty of folks from Farmington here. Hugh Lake is pretty dried up commonly; through the month of October you get the most rain around here; the driest month is June.
Just can't get enough of Hugh Lake.
