Huero Lake is a location that is rather dehydrated usually; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Very scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Angel Fire, and dry warm beds await you at Angel Fire Resort. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Man, is there loads of fun       stuff to do close to Huero Lake. A wonderful place to camp here at Huero Lake is Upper La Junta Campground; if you need a place to stay El Monte Sagrado Living Resort is a perfect choice. At Huero Lake you can catch a glimpse of Cerro Olla; hiking along the West Fork Angostura Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Sipapu Ski is a wonderful location to do that; going for a hike along the North End Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty                  of this region. All year is a perfect time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you like the outdoors. Why not camp at Duran Canyon Campground if you're here at Huero Lake. High temperatures at Huero Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Huero Lake drop into the 0's. So much cool stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too good to be true.
