It's always fun to stop by Horseshoe Lake. Going for a hike along the Divide Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The West Fork Angostura Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Horseshoe Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sipapu Ski. Summer at Horseshoe Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
