Beautiful Horseshoe Lake has much to offer visitors. Horseshoe Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Horseshoe Lake is not the only place close by, Middle Fork Lake is a close by lake, and going for a hike on the West Fork Angostura Trail is always a great adventure. A day on the slopes of Sipapu Ski is just what you need; Horseshoe Lake is a delightful place to camp, Agua Piedra Campground is a delightful

But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Horseshoe Lake. A glorious nearby hotel is Taos Super 8 Motel, and nearby you find the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail which is a good hiking trail. Horseshoe Lake gets very little rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
