Horseshoe Lake is always a pleasure to visit. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Horseshoe Lake. There are other locations here than Horseshoe Lake, for example Lost Lake, and why not camp at Italianos Campground if you're here at Horseshoe Lake. A journey to La Cal Basin revives the spirit, and lakes are such serene places, why not check out Williams Lake. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.

| | Horseshoe Lake is right by the Twining Blue Lake Trail; if you need a place to stay Best Western River's Edge is a wonderful choice. Horseshoe Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You get a pleasant sight of Fraser Mountain from Horseshoe Lake; Lost Lake Dam is a beautiful site. down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lost Lake Trail, and in the event
that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Red River. This lake is so wonderful. Red River has good slopes and a friendly staff; a glorious nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Eagle Nest. Hiking
along the Number 3 Lift Trail is wonderful fun, and lots of people from Taos come here. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Horseshoe Lake, too good to be true. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping
is available at Twining Campground; Taos is a very popular ski area close at hand. Horseshoe Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
