New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Horse Lake is one of them. There's some exciting stuff to spot at Horse Lake Dam right next door to Horse Lake; after a long day outdoors Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. You definitely have to go for the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A magnificent place to camp here at Horse Lake is Little Creel Resort, and paddling on Rio Chama is so much fun. Horse Lake is pretty dried up frequently; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is June. places like Boiler Canyon. Horse Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area next to Horse Lake has to offer. Camping at Twin Rivers
Trailer Park is always a good experience, and one of the main traits of the surroundings of Horse Lake is Horse Lake Mesa. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Leche Creek Trail; get wet paddling on
Navajo River. At Horse Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Horse Lake.
