High temperatures at Horse Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Horse Lake tend to be in the 0's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. Horse Lake is a delightful location to visit       for more than one day, Twin Rivers Trailer Park is a delightful location to camp nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Paddling on Rio Chama is so much fun, and Turkey Pond is a glorious lake nearby. You might want to pay a visit to Boiler Canyon since you're here at Horse Lake, and glide down the rapids of Navajo River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Horse Lake has to offer, you                  can camp at Little Creel Resort, and there are other places here than Horse Lake, for example Horse Lake. At Horse Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August; June on the other hand is the driest. If you need a location to stay Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a glorious choice, and why not check out Horse Lake Dam while you're here. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains rocks!
