This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Camping at Pendaries RV Resort is always a wonderful experience, and why not stop by Red Lake La Cueva Dam Number Two since you're here. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Star Hill Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest, and do pop by Baker Lake, it's a delightful lake. The Santa Fe Trail       offers hiking at its best; a great site to camp here at Horse Lake is Dukes RV Park. Horse Lake is pretty waterless generally; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Gascon Trail; obviously, all our national parks are great locations to stop at and Fort Union National Monument is no exception. High temperatures at Horse Lake during the warm                  days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Horse Lake sink into the 10's. You completely must like the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Horse Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
