High temperatures at Holmberg Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Holmberg Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Holmberg Lake       is regularly a quite dry location; August is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A lake close by is Lambert Reservoir; there's whitewater on Animas River for all you adrenaline junkies. Why not camp at Ruins Road RV Park if you're here at Holmberg Lake, and Durango/Purgatory Super 8 Motel is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Durango Yearround RV Park, and                  at Holmberg Lake you always meet someone from Durango.
