If you are in San Juan county it's always a good idea to stop by Holmberg Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Durango come to Holmberg Lake, and Animas River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Holmberg Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.
