Do stop by Hidden Lake while you're in this part of New Mexico. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Rio Medio Trail is glorious fun, and Taos - Days Inn is a fine place to get some rest. Jicarilla Peak is a peak you can distinguish from Hidden Lake, and you can stay the night at Trampas Medio Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Embudo; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Trampas Lakes. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Take a hike on the Trampas Trail; you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Ski Santa Fe. All the outdoors amusing stuff near Hidden Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Going for a hike along the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; not far from Hidden Lake you'll hit upon San Leonardo Lakes which is a pretty lake. Don't leave Hidden Lake without first paying a visit to Rio Quemado Falls; skiing at Sipapu Ski is one of those things you just have to do. Around Hidden Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year August is the
one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some perfect whitewater, and Hidden Lake
is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Trampas Trailhead Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. All through the summer months at Hidden Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours
of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hidden Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
