Heron Reservoir is pretty dehydrated generally; during August this area sees       the most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. This place, Heron Reservoir, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling right next door to Heron Reservoir is Rio Chama, and you can stay the night at Stone House Lodge. You can take a little journey to Heron Dam if you're here at Heron Reservoir; Heron Reservoir is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Herron Store is a wonderful location to camp                  nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This spot, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. Near Heron Reservoir you hit upon the Hart Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. At Heron Reservoir throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows throughout the winter for Heron Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
