    Heaquarters Well is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Trailer Ranch is a good spot to do that; Santa Fe National Historic Trail is one of the destinations that are great to have a look at nearby. There are plenty of folks from Santa Fe here at Heaquarters Well, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Santa Fe is a great choice. The slopes of Ski Santa Fe are so inviting noone can  
   resist, and the Cochiti Frijoles Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby.
Around Heaquarters Well you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Saint Johns Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Heaquarters Well is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Holy Ghost Group Area - Santa Fe National Forest is a fine local campground.
 
               And that's not all you can do here at Heaquarters Well. There are some great whitewater spots on Rio Grande; there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Atalaya Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Heaquarters Well. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Heaquarters Well all through the winter regularly drop into the 10's. You'll stumble on a scenic lake called Portales Pond near Heaquarters Well; dry warm beds await you at Sunrise Springs Inn.
