Do stop by Harris Lake while you're in this part of New Mexico. All through the months of summer at Harris Lake highs are usually in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Harris Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is New Mexico Highlands University Golf Course, and Bradner Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. Harris Lake is pretty dehydrated generally; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that
rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is excellent! Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pecos River, and dry warm beds await you at Las Vegas Super 8 Motel.
