Pond is Enbom Lake Dam, and Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a fine spot to get some rest. All year is a fine time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Grouse Pond is ordinarily a reasonably dried
up place; August is the month that gets the most rain; June is when it's the driest. There are other sites here than Grouse Pond, for example Paiz Pond; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Leche Creek Trail. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Rio Chama. Lakes? Sure, Cinnamon Lake is close by.
