Glacier Lakes is pretty dried out mostly; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. The skiing at Red River is wonderful. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains rules! A day on the slopes of Ski Rio is just what you need, and the Bernal Trail offers hiking at       its best. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Glacier Lakes you can observe Barker Dome, and you can stay the night at McCrystal Creek Campground. Through the summer highs here at Glacier Lakes get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Glacier Lakes temperatures dip to the-10's.
