Garton Lake is generally a quite dehydrated place; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is April. Don't miss out on a trip to White Sands National       Monument if you're here at Garton Lake; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Alamogordo, Nm is a great choice. Throughout the summertime highs here at Garton Lake reach the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
