This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Gardenia Lake you can take a hike along the Santa Fe Trail, and the slopes of Angel Fire are so inviting noone can resist. Gardenia Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Gardenia Lake; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Yep, outdoors       enjoyable things truly is abundant here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A magnificent vista of pretty Aspen Hill is available from Gardenia Lake, and a lake close by is Bear Lake. Visiting Fort Union National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a tremendous spot to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Gardenia Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. All through the winter highs                  are typically in the 30's, and night lows in the-10's for Gardenia Lake. Be careful coming to Gardenia Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Camping at Gardenia Lake is great fun, Cathedral Rock Campground is a great local campground.
