A good place to go to near Galisteo Lake is San Cristobal Arroyo, and Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a very glorious site to visit. During the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Galisteo Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Galisteo       Lake. If you're going to Galisteo Lake from Santa Fe, you won't be the only one, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Saint Johns Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Villa San Miguel is a great choice, and why not camp at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground if you're here at Galisteo Lake. It is very dehydrated here at Galisteo Lake mostly; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest                  month is January. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Galisteo Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Santa Fe Koa Kampgrounds is a nice place to camp, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Atalaya Trail.
