A visit to Frutosa Lake is always a good idea. All through the summertime months at Frutosa Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Frutosa Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. The Santa Fe Trail is a great hiking trail next to Frutosa Lake, and as expected Pedroso Creek flows through this area. A short visit

| | to Cabra Spring is always worthwhile, and Fort Union National Monument is a delightful national park. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Lionidas Lake since you're here at Frutosa Lake; it's nearby, and a magnificent place to check out nearby is Canon Carriso. A lake close by is Morrison Lake. Frutosa Lake is pretty waterless generally; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January.
