This lake is so wonderful. During the summer months highs here at Franks Pit get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Franks Pit. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. You're sure to bump into some cheerful folks from Las Vegas here; since       you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Laguna del Sauino. This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Victors Pit is a lake in close proximity, and Pecos River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Franks Pit you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is when it's the driest.
