You'll meet a lot of folks from Farmington here; if you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn Farmington is a tremendous choice. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more cool things to do in the Mesa Verde. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Animas River, and you can stay the night at River Grove RV Park.       The warmest time of the year at Fourmile Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Fourmile Reservoir dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Mesa Verde. After a long day outdoors The Region Inn is a nice site to spend a night                  or two, and do take a look at Cordova Lake, it's a wonderful lake. On a pleasant day at Fourmile Reservoir you can take a hike along the Wheeler Trail, and a splendid site close by is Cholla Canyon. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesa Verde. Any time is a splendid time at Fourmile Reservoir if you like the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Fourmile Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mom and Pop RV Park is a good site for that, and Meadows Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out. Fourmile Reservoir is pretty waterless usually; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while June is commonly the driest month. San Juan River is a nice whitewater spot near Fourmile Reservoir; why not stop at close by Fourmile Wash if you're here at Fourmile Reservoir.
