This lake is so wonderful. Fireman Lake is not far at all from Alamogordo, and you can stay the night at Silver Campground. The Sacramento Mountains scenery is always beautiful. East Five Canyon is a delightful location to go to nearby, and if you've had enough of Fireman Lake, Goat Windmill is nearby. Summertime highs at Fireman Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually

| | in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Fireman Lake are in the 20's. At Fireman Lake you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls during August while April is frequently the driest month. That right there is a load of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Sacramento Mountains has it all. You can take a little journey to Shields Dam while you're here at Fireman Lake, and Firman Spring is an inspiring spot to go to while you're here. Yep, outdoors | |

entertaining stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Fireman Lake. The Perk Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Fireman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Saddle Campground is a great site
for that. Be careful coming to the Sacramento Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Cloudcroft Hotel is a nice spot to get some rest; the snow is glorious at Ski Apache. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Cloudcroft
is a great location to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cedar Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fireman Lake; Osha Trail is a great local trail; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Silver Lake is just a very short distance away.
