     The beauty of Fenton Lake attracts many people from all around. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Jemez River, and Fenton Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Calaveras Campground is a tremendous local campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fenton Lake; Padre Alonzo Trail is a tremendous local trail, and there's some  
   attention-grabbing stuff to observe at Fenton Lake Dam in close proximity to Fenton Lake. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a brilliant time.
This lake is so wonderful. Fenton Lake is right by the Perchas Trail, and Barley Canyon is a fine place to spend some time. Skiing at Pajarito Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and a nice place to camp here at Fenton Lake is Seven Springs Campground. And if that's not enough,
 
               there's a lot more to do in close proximity to Fenton Lake. The Palomas Trail offers hiking at its best, and the top of Lake Fork Mesa is easily distinguished from Fenton Lake.
Fenton Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Fenton Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Fenton Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Around Fenton Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
