Why not stop by Fawn Lakes if you're passing through these parts. There are some good whitewater spots on Red River. All through the summertime highs here at Fawn Lakes reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Fawn Lakes. Around Fawn Lakes you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least

Camping at Fawn Lakes is tremendous fun, Elephant Rock Campground is a tremendous local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fawn Lakes; Lost Lake Trail is a perfect local trail. And that's not all you can do here at Fawn Lakes. Red River has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff; after a long day outdoors Best Western River's Edge is a fine location to spend a night or two. into a kayak and hit Rio Grande; if you're here you can play some golf at Red Eagle Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. You must unquestionably visit Elephant Rock if you're here at Fawn Lakes, and Ski Rio is a very popular
ski area around here. Fawn Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A magnificent location in the vicinity of Fawn Lakes is Bonito Canyon, and there's great hiking along the Twining Blue Lake Trail. So
much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too perfect to be true. Black Mountain can be seen from Fawn Lakes; if you need a place to stay Adobe and Stars Inn is a great choice. All year is a fine time in
the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Fawn Lakes is a nice spot to camp, Fawn Lakes Campground is a nice spot, and great hiking is available along the Number 3 Lift Trail.
