Fawn Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Bonito Canyon is a great location to discover; Black Mountain is easy to spot from Fawn Lakes. During the summer here at Fawn Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Fawn Lakes through the winter commonly descend

| | into the 0's. If only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great planet it would be. Golf can be played at Red Eagle Golf Course. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A wonderful close by hotel is Best Western River's Edge; Elephant Rock Campground is a good campground nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There are great places to look at along the Number 3 Lift | |

Trail, and if you've had enough of Fawn Lakes, Pioneer Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Lost Lake Trail, and beautiful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Red River. Adobe
and Stars Inn is a great location to get some rest, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Heart Lake is one of those nearby. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do close to Fawn Lakes. Red River has a good whitewater
paddling spot close by, and you can stay the night at Fawn Lakes Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Rio while you're
here. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande, and Elephant Rock is a tremendous spot to stop at while in the neighborhood. It is very dehydrated here
at Fawn Lakes mostly; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture.
