What a nice lake Ensenada Lake is. Ensenada Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains. Ensenada Lake is pretty waterless typically; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here; May is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Canada Escondia since you're here at Ensenada Lake, and why not camp at El Ritito Campground while you're here at Ensenada Lake.

| | to do here in the San Juan Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Antonio River, and Quartzite Peak can be distinguished from Ensenada Lake. While you're here at Ensenada Lake it's a nice idea to go to Deer Park; dry warm beds await you at Lomita Motel. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. If you came for an overnight stay Hopewell Lake Campground is a pleasant location to camp.

All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows at Ensenada Lake during the winter mostly fall into the 0's. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Rio Brazos, and Bonita Canyon is a delightful place to spend some time.
