If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Mexico you can check out Eagle Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is nice at Red River; a nice site for whitewater paddling is Rio Grande. Through the days of summer at Eagle Rock Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. a popular site for folks from Taos, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail.
If you need a place to stay Best Western River's Edge is a good choice. A great close by hotel is Adobe and Stars Inn, and
do take a hike on the Lost Lake Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Almagre Canyon is a good place to go if you're at Eagle Rock Lake, and if you like skiing,
you're in luck; Ski Rio is relatively near. Be careful coming to Eagle Rock Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's so much to do here at Eagle Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Questa Lodge RV Park is a splendid site for that, and don't leave Eagle Rock Lake without first checking out Eagle Rock.
