This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Nest Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Weathers RV Park is a fine local campground. At Eagle Nest Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Eagle Nest Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. And if that's not enough there's a lot       more fun stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There's so much to do here at Eagle Nest Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Golden Eagle RV Park is a brilliant spot for that, and close by you stumble on the Burnt Ridge Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a glimpse of at Eagle Nest Dam near Eagle Nest Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Angel Fire is                  pretty near. If you need a location to stay Angel Fire Resort is a delightful choice, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Lake Aspen is one of those close by. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The skiing at Red River is glorious, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Lost Lake Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Eagle Nest, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Eagle Nest Lake is regularly a pretty arid place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is January.
