At Dry Laguna you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is December. There's good hiking along the Santa Fe Trail, and Kit Carson Inn is a nice place to get some rest. Stay the night at Mills Canyon Campground, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Oasis Motel. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the       summer months highs here at Dry Laguna get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
