Lake Doris is commonly a pretty arid place; the month with most of the rain is August, and January on the other hand is the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Pine Ridge, and you can go for a hike on the Twining Blue Lake Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Lake Doris, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are       in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Doris temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Doris that you need to camp here for a while, West Lake RV Park is a splendid place for that, and Angel Fire is a great local ski area. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Doris. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake                  Doris has to offer, you can camp at Golden Eagle RV Park, and the slopes of Red River are so inviting nobody can resist. Don't leave Lake Doris without first going for a hike along the Bernal Trail; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a perfect choice.
