The Sacramento Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So many exciting things in the Sacramento Mountains, just mind-blowing. McDonald Flat is a splendid place to stretch your legs a bit, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Hackberry Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent site to camp here at Dela Van Lake is Dear Spring Recreational Vehicle Park, as expected       you could also stop at Covel Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Cloudcroft is a splendid place to spend a night or two; camping is available at James Canyon Campground. The annual precipitation here at Dela Van Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the days of summer here at Dela Van Lake, high temperatures                  mostly get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's.
