For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Deer Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Deer Lake tend to be in the-10's. Deer Lake is pretty arid regularly; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month       with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Vaca Pond, and Grouse Canyon is also a brilliant place to look at. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Webster Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and Angel Fire has good slopes and a friendly staff. Whohoo, so much enjoyable                  stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains rocks! All our national parks are wonderful locations to visit, and Fort Union National Monument is no exception. From Deer Lake you obtain a tremendous view of Deer Lake Mesa, and a fine place to camp here at Deer Lake is Cathedral Rock Campground. Camping is available at Cimarron Inn and RV Park; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a wonderful choice. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Deer Lake. Take a little tour to Clarks Fork Creek if you're here at Deer Lake; a magnificent close by hotel is Angel Fire Resort.
