If you are in Rio Arriba county it's always a good idea to stop by Deep Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Deep Lake, you could also stop at lovely Laguna Lorenza, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Rio Chama. You clearly ought to go for the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Put some time aside to spend at Blas Spring since you're here at Deep Lake, and after a long day outdoors Branding Iron Motel is a great location to spend

| | a night or two. Deep Lake is frequently a quite dehydrated place; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come here to Deep Lake for a glorious time. Do stop at Laguna Pinabete Mocho close to Deep Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and at Deep Lake you can see Mogotito. Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a good local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio de los Brazos. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez
Mountains. High temperatures at Deep Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's while Deep Lake overnight low
temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Apache Trail offers hiking at its best, and Canjilon Creek Campground is a brilliant campground nearby.
