Deep Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain High RV Park is a great local campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Summit Trail. There are other locations here than Deep Lake, for example Cherrytree Lake; a wonderful site to camp here at Deep Lake is Baca Campground. Summer at Deep Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in       temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Deep Lake plunge into the 20's. On a good day at Deep Lake you can take a hike along the Capitan Peak Trail. A glorious close by hotel is Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Mitten Bar Trail.
