A glorious nearby hotel is Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn, and splendid hiking is available along the Capitan Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant site to camp here at Deep Lake is Baca Campground, and there's great hiking along the Mitten Bar Trail. Camping at Mountain High RV Park is always a great experience, and Cherrytree Lake is a good lake nearby. Lakes? Sure, Middleton       Lake is close at hand, and you can go for a hike on the Summit Trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Deep Lake. At Deep Lake you don’t see much precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Deep Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
