What a nice lake La Cueva Lake is. Hiking along the Santa Fe Trail is splendid fun, and the sights at Fort Union National Monument will blow your mind. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Not far from La Cueva Lake you obtain some nice water scenery at La Cueva Dam Number One, and after a long day outdoors Las Vegas Super 8 Motel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains rocks!

| | Why not camp at Dukes RV Park if you're here at La Cueva Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Las Vegas-Days Inn is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Angel Fire has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff; almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, La Cueva Reservoir is just a very short distance away. It is very dried up here at La Cueva Lake usually; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most, | |

and the driest month of the year is January. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. A glorious place to camp here at La Cueva Lake is Pendaries RV Resort; close by
you locate Canon del Agua which is a great location to go to.
For the period of the summertime months here at La Cueva Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter
are commonly in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at La Cueva Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like La Canada del Guajalote, and do take a hike on the Gascon Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
