In New Mexico there are many beautiful lakes, Cow Lake is one of them. Summertime at Cow Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Cow Lake sink into the 0's. Paddling on Red River is so much fun; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Taos. This location, the Sangre De Cristo
Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Hiking along the Twining Blue Lake Trail is pleasant fun; you're sure to encounter some friendly people from Taos here.
This lake is so wonderful. Sagebrush Inn is a fine spot to get some rest, and Cow Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cuchillo De Medio Campground is a pleasant local campground. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Sangre De Cristo

Mountains. Get dripping wet paddling on Rio Grande, and going for a hike along the Simpson Memorial Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. A glorious nearby hotel is Adobe and Stars Inn, and camping at Italianos Campground is always a fine experience.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Number 3 Lift Trail. Having a fine time at Cow Lake is painless. The top of Lobo Peak is easily made out from Cow Lake; you can hit the slopes at Red River around here. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
It is very dehydrated here at Cow Lake mostly; most of the rain falls during August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
