This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lakes are brilliant; Eagle Rock Lake is a lake that's near Cow Lake, and Red River is a tremendous local ski area. Here at Cow Lake there are plenty of folks from Taos. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff       just keep reading. A great spot to camp here at Cow Lake is Italianos Campground; don't leave Cow Lake without first going for a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail. Through the warmest time of the year at Cow Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Cow Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Yep, outdoors                  enjoyable things truly is plentiful here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping at Cuchillo De Medio Campground is always a delightful experience, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Goose Lake.
