So much entertaining stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not enough time. Going for a hike on the Twining Blue Lake Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and why not stop at nearby Allen Creek if you're here at Costilla Reservoir. Blind Canyon is a glorious location to check out right next door to Costilla Reservoir, and a charming lake like Seven Lakes is a good location to pop by. This location,       the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Camping at Roadrunner Campground is always a wonderful experience, and close by you discover the Lost Lake Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Costilla Reservoir called the Bernal Trail, and you don’t have to go far from Costilla Reservoir to make out the water at Costilla Reservoir Dam. If only every place had                  this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. A good close by hotel is Best Western River's Edge; the skiing at Red River is pleasant. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Costilla Reservoir get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Costilla Reservoir fall into the-10's. Costilla Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Costilla Reservoir is a location that is quite dehydrated regularly; the month with most of the rain is August while January is usually the driest month. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Costilla Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mallette Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
