Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Bernal Trail, and if you fancy a little side journey, try Blind Canyon. So many amusing things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just striking. Going for a hike along the Lost Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; the snow is pleasant at Red River. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Costilla Reservoir, high temperatures commonly       reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Costilla Reservoir temperatures fall to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Mallette Campground is a tremendous campground here, and a brilliant close by hotel is Econo Lodge Eagle Nest. At Costilla Reservoir you don’t see much rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand                  is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Costilla Reservoir Dam is a spot that is in close proximity to Costilla Reservoir, and if you need a place to stay Best Western River's Edge is a great choice. Costilla Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. So many fun things to do here at Costilla Reservoir, too tremendous to be true. Costilla Reservoir is a wonderful place to camp, Roadrunner Campground is a wonderful place, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ski Rio. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Costilla Reservoir you can take a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail.
