During the warm days of summer at Laguna Colorada temperatures are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows at Laguna Colorada during the wintertime commonly drop into the 0's. And that's not all you can do here in the San Juan Mountains. A pleasant close by hotel is Del Prado       Motel; on a good day you can take a hike along the San Jose Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Laguna Colorada is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Clear Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and going for a hike along the River Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. There's so much to do here at Laguna Colorada that you need to camp here for a while, Nacimiento Campground is a great location for that. This lake                  is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. At Laguna Colorada you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and June on the other hand is the driest.
