Laguna Colorada

Fenton Lake State Park is a wonderful site to stretch your legs a bit, as expected you could also have a look at Deer Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Laguna Colorada is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Resumidero is a pleasant location to camp nearby. Going for a hike along the Penas Negras Trail will let you absorb
the natural beauty of this vicinity. Nacimiento Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you're visiting from Counselor, you won't be the only one.
