If you are in Sandoval county it's always a good idea to stop by Cochiti Lake. If you came to camp Las Conchas Campground is a tremendous place to do that; Canada de Cochiti is a nice place to pop by. Cochiti Lake gets very little rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and May is when it's the driest. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Cochiti Lake. Going for a hike on the

| | Capulin Canyon Trail is always a great adventure; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Rio Grande.
For the duration of the summertime highs here at Cochiti Lake get into the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cochiti Lake are in the 0's. And that's not all you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. going for a hike along the Canada Capulin Trail, and the scenery at Cochiti Dam is charming. There are great locations to discover along the Cochiti Frijoles Trail; a perfect close by hotel is Ashley Hotel and Suites.
There's
so much to do here at Cochiti Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Juniper Campground is a perfect place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Pueblo de Cochiti
Golf Course, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Los Alamos here. Cochiti Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Santa Fe River is a stream that you may encounter
during your stay, and hey, Gotta ski right? Pajarito Mountain is a great location to do that. So many fun things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just inspiring. A journey to Bandelier National Monument is recommended, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Los Alamos, Nm is a magnificent location to get some rest.
