If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to Clements Lake. Camping at Datil Well Campground is always a pleasant experience, and a delightful close by hotel is Eagle Guest Ranch. The warmest time of the year at Clements Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Clements Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Clements Lake is pretty dried up mostly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is May. Camping is available at Hughes Campground, and after a long day outdoors High Country Lodge is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. | |
