Go to Laguna Chico if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Rio Ojo Caliente for all you adrenaline people, and don't leave Laguna Chico without first going for a hike along the Palacio Trail. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Laguna Chico. You'll meet a lot of folks from Espanola here, and Cholejo Spring is a striking place to stop at while you're at Laguna Chico. | | pretty dry frequently; August is the wettest month with most rain; April is when it's the driest. This place, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Canon Largo is near Laguna Chico and is certainly a splendid location to pop by, and camping at Middle Canjilon Campground is always a great experience. you'll like it here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Abiquiu Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Rio Chama. Laguna Chico is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez
Mountains. Throughout the warm months here at Laguna Chico, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun
is down during the wintertime temperatures at Laguna Chico fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Apache Trail; Laguna Chico is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Canjilon Creek Campground is a glorious local campground.
