    What a nice lake Laguna Chico is. This lake is so wonderful. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Laguna Chico. If you want a little side visit, try Canon Largo; Middle Canjilon Campground is a perfect campground here. Going for a hike along the Palacio Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and drift down the rapids of Rio Ojo Caliente in a kayak.
Laguna Chico gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through August,
 
   and April is when it's the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Laguna Chico. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Laguna Chico. And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Hiking along the Apache Trail is pleasant fun, and camping at Laguna Chico is good fun, Canjilon Creek Campground is a good  
               local campground.
Just can't get enough of the San Juan Mountains. Paddling on Rio Chama is so much fun, and after a long day outdoors The Abiquiu Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Cholejo Spring is an inspiring site to stop by while you're here; if you're here you can take a hike along the Lemitas Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. At Laguna Chico you always meet someone from Espanola, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Espanola is a glorious choice.
