This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Poker Lake near Cherrytree Lake, and a splendid spot nearby is East Lucero Canyon. Do pop by Middleton Lake close to Cherrytree Lake, it's a stunning lake. There's so much to do here at Cherrytree Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain High RV Park is a fine place for that. There is a fine       hiking trail next to Cherrytree Lake called the Summit Trail, and Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest. All through the warm months here at Cherrytree Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cherrytree Lake sink into the 20's. And that's not all you                  can do here at Cherrytree Lake. Near Cherrytree Lake you stumble on the Mitten Bar Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. The Capitan Peak Trail is a good hiking trail near Cherrytree Lake, and Cherrytree Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Baca Campground is a good local campground.
