     The beauty of Laguna Cerro Negro attracts many people from all around. During the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Laguna Cerro Negro while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Laguna Cerro Negro. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Laguna Cerro Negro has to offer, you can camp at Abiquiu Inn, and do take a hike on  
   the Palacio Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains.

Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Laguna Cerro Negro is right by the Lemitas Trail. You completely must adore the San Juan Mountains.                you need to camp here for a while, El Ritito Campground is a tremendous location for that, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Rio Chama.
Laguna Cerro Negro is usually a relatively dry place; all through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is December. This lake is so wonderful. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Apache Trail; you'll meet a lot of people from Espanola here. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Laguna Cerro Negro rules! After a long day outdoors The Abiquiu Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Ojo Caliente.
