Summer brings highs in the 80's to Laguna Cerro Negro, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows at Laguna Cerro Negro through the wintertime generally descend into the 10's. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Espanola is a nice choice, and the Lemitas Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Laguna Cerro Negro

A fine spot to camp here at Laguna Cerro Negro is El Ritito Campground; there's whitewater on Rio Ojo Caliente for all you adrenaline kick people. trail. Lakes are nice; Indian Lake is a lake that's near Laguna Cerro Negro. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Cerro Colorado is easy to spot from Laguna Cerro Negro,
and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Palacio Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Laguna Chico. Camping at Abiquiu Inn is always a great experience,
and you can run the rapids of Rio Chama. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Espanola, and Laguna Cerro Negro is a location with many visitors from Espanola.
