If you are in Lincoln county it's always a good idea to stop by Cedar Lake. After a long day outdoors Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Sand Wash Trail. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows at Cedar Lake during the wintertime mostly fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
