     New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Canjilon Lakes is one of them. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Canjilon Lakes with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Canjilon Lakes. So many cool things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too great to be true. There are some good whitewater spots on Rio Brazos, and you're sure to encounter some great folks from  
   Espanola here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rio de los Brazos; Canjilon Mountain is a peak you can spot from Canjilon Lakes.
This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Dry warm beds await you at Branding Iron Motel. The Abiquiu Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest, and a wonderful location to camp here at Canjilon Lakes is Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground. It
 
               is very dried up here at Canjilon Lakes frequently; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and May on the other hand is the driest.
Canjilon Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Middle Canjilon Campground is a good local campground; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Alkali Spring. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
