    If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to Canjilon Lakes. On a delightful day you get a sight of Canjilon Mountain from Canjilon Lakes, and not far from Canjilon Lakes you'll find Blue Lake which is a wonderful lake. Camping at Canjilon Lakes is splendid fun, Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a splendid local campground; Rio Brazos has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Not much rainfall falls here at Canjilon Lakes; the wettest  
   month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while May is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Yeah, come here to Canjilon Lakes for a tremendous time. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Alkali Spring. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. During the summertime at Canjilon Lakes temperatures are usually in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. For the duration
 
               of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Canjilon Lakes.
Just can't get enough of the San Juan Mountains. Why not camp at Middle Canjilon Campground since you're here at Canjilon Lakes, and after a long day outdoors The Abiquiu Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Canjilon Lakes you'll meet some folks from Espanola for sure, and whitewater paddling is fine on Rio de los Brazos.
